Meet Jacques buys
Jacques Etienne Wagner Buys serves as Vice Chancellor and Professor of the faculty Ministerial Training and Community Upliftment of the New World Mission International University.
He started his career in the Correctional Services in 1980 and pioneered the first SWAT Team from the old Task Force Units. He served on these teams from 1987 – until 1997 and from 1993 as SWAT Team Commander.
Jacques always ascribe their successes in interventions to the hand of the Almighty God.
He served as Chief Handler and Head of the Dog Unit till 1987 and then became the pioneer of the Skilled and Specialized Training Academy that ran in conjunction with the Artisan Training Centre until 1993. In his career here, he served as Head of The Skilled and Specialized Training Centre; Head of Education and Training; Head of Community Corrections and Chairman of the Parole Board.
He left in March 1997 for Full Time Ministry as Pastor; Vice Chairman of the International Missions Board and Community Upliftment Leader for the national church.
He also ran a practice for pastoral Counselling and has trained many counsellors up to Ph.D. level.
Jacques left the full-time ministry in 2012 and own three Businesses. He is also an owner of a Patent and sold his products in major retailers.
Jacques holds a Ph.D. in Mental Health and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his work in the field of Missions, Training and Community Upliftment. He also holds a Masters degree in Missiology; an Honors Degree in Ministry; Diplomas in Ministry, Missiology and Prison Management.
He still serves as a Commissioner of Oaths and Marriage Officer and Chaplain-General for a Survival group.
His passion to train and equip leaders finds its roots in his love for his Savior Jesus Christ, his Model and his Hero.
ARX was born many years ago as a survival supplier but has now grown to an International Distributor of some of its products.
